What We Do

We are a building consultancy that offers expert advice and traditional building surveying services including commercial and residential building surveys. We are a team of building consultants with combined experience within the construction industry that spans decades. We can advise on a range of building surveying issues including party wall matters, schedules of condition, defect analysis, licence to alter, building reinstatement cost assessments (BRCA), dilapidations, building design, project management, specifications for building work and project co-ordination.
Aaron Ganley is a Chartered Building Surveyor who has over 20 years Surveying and Construction experience. Aaron has worked for West End Surveying practices at Partner level, been the lead client contact for Large Corporations, Assets Managers and Global Property Funds. He has worked across all sectors of the industry and recently has been responsible for delivering high value Project Management for the commercial and mixed-use sector schemes. Aaron often takes the lead on large Project Management/Contract Admin works, where clients expect the highest level of expertise and experience.

Paul McCarthy

Paul McCarthy is a chartered building surveyor who started his career working for a practice specialising in Local Authority projects within the residential, commercial and educational sectors before moving onto working for commercial clients within a large West End Practice. Paul has worked predominantly on party wall and neighbourly matters over the last 10 years but has experience in most elements of residential building surveying works and maintains a keen interest in building surveys and defect diagnosis. In addition to being an MRICS, Paul is also an APC Building Surveying Assessor.
Ryan McNally is a graduate surveyor currently working towards both his Assessment of Professional Competency with RICS and completing a master’s degree in Project Management. Prior to this Ryan worked for ten years within real estate, working with a diverse range of clients and is a Member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors (FPWS).

Philip Setterington is a chartered building surveyor who started his professional career back in 2003 as a property agent based in North London. Commercially he has worked closely with blue chip clients including leading supermarkets, an international coffee house, major banks and global property investors. Residentially, Philip has been instrumental in the survey and maintenance of high-profile properties with values in excess of £10,000,000. Philip has been fortunate to have gained experience in most elements of building surveying and is able to provide sound advice on most matters. His main interests are project management, insurance valuations, dilapidations and defect diagnosis. In addition to being an MRICS, Philip is also an APC Building Surveying Assessor.
As an experienced building consultancy, we regularly prepare Planned Preventative Maintenance Plans with budgeting costings for private residential blocks, housing associations and commercial organisations. Whether it is a single building or a property portfolio, we can provide a long-term Planned Preventative Maintenance Plans to help you maintain your building to a high standard and protect the asset value.
